Thought you'd like to read this about Carson and immigration: Lots and lots of links.
I wouldn't be surprised if the eGOP volunteered some 'experts' to 'help' Carson bone up on immigration issues.

Since I posted Establishment Trying Ben Carson�s Magic Negro Charisma To Overshadow Trump Carson has indeed become the clear runner-up in the Polls to The Donald. Yet there have been no MSM interviews and very sparse reports of what Carson actually says (I have been watching). Following Carson�s address to the Commonwealth Club of California yesterday it is clear why.

Carson is just another Treason Lobby servant on immigration.

I'll have to come back to this thread when I have more time, just swamped with work today.

But quickly, hasn't Carson done a complete 180 on immigration in the blink of an eye? Wasn't he talking really tough when he went down to the border two weeks ago, demanding that border agents be actually armed and ON the border and not 70 miles inside of it?

And now he's suddenly BMWing about the cost of deportation and where to put them?

Either I've been hallucinating, or another one has caught Washington Cartelitis, and rather quickly at that.

I found this article from August. Carson's overall emphasis was indeed securing the border militarily

If Trump calls him out at the debate on his new found amnesty stance, I will be interested in seeing the polls that will come out afterward.

I'm also sick of hearing about Carly's face and I suspect most others are too. Enough already, we have bigger priorities.

One has to remember that both Carson AND Trump are running for the REPUBLICAN nomination. History since 1988 shows that the REPUBLICAN nominee is 100 percent vetted by the REPUBLICAN establishment - meaning the nominee agrees with the establishment 100 percent of the time. The republican establishment wants open borders and unlimited illegal immigration.

That's why Trump WON'T be the nominee; and Carson probably won't be the nominee.

But if he is, well . . .

There's more than one way to buy someone off.

Since Carson is now spouting the political elite's rhetoric on how we NEED guest workers and illegals because of all the jobs Americans won't / can't do It's possible he being fed this information by 'experts' supplied by the eGOP. It's also possible interviews such as the one with the farmers and hotel workers who who couldn't find Americans to hire were set up for him. No doubt the information was accompanied by a nice campaign donation.

I would not surprise me if the GOPe were using Carson as the anti-Trump anti-establishment candidate, in hopes of having a candidate more amenable to their interests than Trump.

Very odd and abrupt turnaround on Carson's part.

I think the unremitting pressure and viciousness of public criticism may have gotten to him. I just don't think he's tough enough. That's not a criticism; just stating what I think. Few people are tough enough to maintain their equilibrium and vision in the face of that.

I worry about Trump in that respect. He has a vision, but it's a bit murky and sort on details and understanding of how to accomplish. He's going to look to make a deal, rather than maintain the course.

I hate to sound like a sap, but I have to say this.

I really DO believe Trump is in this thing because he wants to Make America Great Again.

He doesn't need any of this. He could be off somewhere just living the good life. The man is 69 years old, after all.

He is a flawed man - very flawed - but a real American who loves his country, and one who can't be bought.

Normally I am nobody's fool...but this one time, I'm rolling the dice.

The gop establishment.

Let me word this another way: IF (huge if) Trump were to somehow secure the nomination, it would be the first time since Reagan (and since Goldwater before him) that the gop establishment DID NOT get its way. Goldwater's nomination caused the gop-e to boycott the election (likely a moot point, since LBJ in the wake of the JFK assassination would have won anyway). Reagan's nomination gave us the Bush dynasty. (in other words, the gop-e got its pound of flesh.)

The gop-e DOES NOT want any part of Trump, and the gop-e will do everything within its power to withhold the nomination from him. Granted, so far they've been unsuccessful. Trump's a billionaire, so he cannot be bought. And whatever dirt there is in his personal life (that could be used to bribe him) has likely already been made public.

But there's almost a year until the convention, and anything can happen.

My personal views on Trump's candidacy are this - he's definitely a flawed candidate, but he has the right message.

If he's on the ballot in my state (likely 3rd party), I'll vote for him.

I am not a one issue voter but there is one issue on which I will not compromise: abortion. I know Trump now claims he's ProLife but it was not that long ago when he was a proabort, even approving of the partial birth procedure. http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/420...-ramesh-ponnuru

well said Rufus. he isn't perfect. and when someone points that out, what can you say? he's not saying he's perfect either which is not how the Queen of Dems is portraying herself. flawed with the right message sound spot on to me.

but aren't we all flawed? when the right message is heard people's ears perk up!

and here, with the record of success that comes with Trump's business world, the candidate has the intelligence enough to surround himself with managers who are up to the task. and he's not afraid to fire someone when appropriate. how refreshing is that?

I agree. From my perspective we know what we will get with any other candidate and it is not good for America.

With Trump there is a chance to slow down the destruction of America, its middle class, its national and economic security, and its traditional ethics and culture. .
