There should be no "Happy" or "Weekend" connected to, nor associated with Memorial Day. While we celebrate the lives of those who died for our freedom, and attempt to comprehend the greatness of their sacrifice, Memorial Day DOES NOT mean 'three day weekend', nor celebrate BBQ grills [a fact too many Americans no longer understand.

So commemorate our honored dead. Pray for their families, the accomplishments that might have been, and the lives that never continued. But there is NOTHING "Happy" about Memorial Day.
