ZitatDamien Chazelle’s intergalactic thriller First Man hits theaters on Thursday. Its box office success may depend on how well viewers receive the movie’s globalist theme.
The film, a biographical depiction of the Neil Armstrong-led historic space mission to the moon, will launch in 3,600 theaters nationwide and is expected to take in upwards of $20 million.
Yet the success of First Man may depend on whether viewers are willing to embrace its internationalist theme. Last month, it emerged that Chazelle had apparently omitted any references to the mission as an American achievement as well as any presence of the American flag being planting on the moon — a decision the directed said was not a political statement.
I don't know if it's true, but I read that in addition to leaving out the iconic moment of planting the American flag on the Moon, the space uniforms of the astronauts does not show the American symbols on their shoulders.
We believe the survivors. Unless they fought in Benghazi.~~Navy Seal Robert J. O'Neill
I have no interest in supporting their globalist revisionist theme.
They're trying to entice veterans to come to the pre release showings for free. I bet the veterans will be aware of this enticement and stay away.

I would not be the least bit surprised if there was no emphasis on this as an American achievement, i.e. an achievement by the toxic, white, male, Christian patriarchy
However the flag is still on the sleeves and the moon. IMHO, assuming the emphasis is on this as a global achievement, this is even more duplicitous than if the U.S. flag was omitted.
