Stunned and horrified Americans, and indeed Christians around the world, not to mention victims of Islamist horror from every religious background, will be trying to process Obama’s idiotic words for days to come.

Yes, folks, the President of the United States just told the civilized world it has no moral standing to criticize the head-choppers, child-crucifiers, slave-takers, and auto-da-fe enthusiasts of the modern world, because the Crusades happened a thousand years ago.

The basic concept here is nothing new. Lazy, arrogant liberals have been babbling about the Crusades and Inquisition ever since Islamist terrorism became a big problem for the Western world. I’m sure some of these tools whined about the Crusades while one of the World Trade Center towers was still standing. It’s the sloppiest intellectual dodge imaginable, a cheap and easy way to sound impartial and high-minded: hey, all of those knuckle-dragging religious types are prone to violent outbursts.

It’s also a way that an arrogant leftist such as Barack Obama positions his own religion, the glory of the State, above all others. Obama’s world-view holds that everything prior to his own enlightened reign was a time of darkness and ignorance.

Truly, President Obama is the gift that keeps on giving. Just a day after his undisclosed meeting with Muslim leaders at the White House, the Islamapologist-in-Chief attempted to find moral equivalency between the brutality of ISIS and Christianity.

As Breitbart reports, “At the National Prayer Breakfast, President Obama reminded attendees that violence rooted in religion isn’t exclusive to Islam, but has been carried out by Christians as well.”

“Obama said that even though religion is a source for good around the world, there will always be people willing to “hijack religion for their own murderous ends.”

“Unless we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ,” Obama said. “In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”

Well, may I remind Barack Hussein of two things:

First of all, the Crusades occurred because Muslims were attacking Christian pilgrims in the Holy Land.

Secondly, slavery and Jim Crow laws were championed by Democrats (who happened to be Christians), and it was Republicans (who happened to be Christians) who pushed to eliminate all that.

Perhaps I’m mistaken, but in this century the only folks who are going around chopping off heads, burning people alive and slaughtering children in the name of religion are doing it in the name of Allah.

One point: 0bama can't be reminded of what the Crusades were about or who championed Jim Crow laws, because he doesn't know that history. It is entirely unfamiliar to him and since he is remarkably intellectually incurious, extremely narcissistic and those facts don't fit into his worldview - for him they just don't exist. Never did, never will.

Maybe we should give Obama the opportunity to resign, so he can join ISIS in their Islamic Caliphate !!

He simply doesn't give a damn what anyone thinks. Personally, I'm glad. Let the sheep see their real leader.

He doesn't care what people think because he KNOWS, in spite of all evidence to the contrary, that he is smarter, better intentioned and purer than everyone else. Apparently that's what he was raised to believe and what Valerie Jarrett and the rest of his unholy choir tell him repeatedly. Perhaps our form of government has protected us from this type of person in the past.
