I have never been a great fan of the Bush clan, even though I voted for G.H.W. and G.W.. Twice for both of them.

Of all the Bushes, I believe W is the best.

Often characterized as "dumb" - at least he had a strategy for Iraq.

If Bush hadn't indulged in regime change and nation building this warning wouldn't have been necessary.

Why not go after the Saudis who funded 9-11 ? Why not gift them with some glass and a stern warning: another act of terrorism against the US and Mecca would be next. Could it be that would have been a violation of the The U.S.-Saudi Arabian Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation which was designed to prop up the dollar via the petro dollar after Nixon removed the dollar from the gold standard internationally. (The petro dollar was Nixon and Kissenger's baby.)

That trick worked unfortunately as W never defended himself while being tarred and feathered. He still doesn't.

Him being mute made him appear to be a punching bag. He should have defended himself against the horrible attacks or had a James Carville type doing some counter attacks. His turning the other cheek was taken to the extreme! and it resulted in everyone buying the D's nasty rhetoric.

Let's also not forget the laundry list of terrible ideas, policies and appointments that filled that second term. LOST Treaty, Amnesty, Harriet Myers, Leaving no heir apparent to run against the Rats, et al. I am not looking for a swell dude to be President. I am looking for a competent leader. We haven't had one in the country for 10 years.

I believe a great deal of the blame for the attacks of 9/11 can be laid at the feet of Bill Clinton, because he, like all Democrats, was soft on America's enemies.

As for the regime change, well, we killed Saddam Hussein because he needed killin'.

We went into Afghanistan and invaded Iraq to take the fight to the towel heads and moved the front in this war to the Sand Box. In doing so, we were able to keep the muzzies occupied on their own turf, directing their attention away from the United States.

If we hadn't done this, we might not be here discussing this today. It's as simple as that.
