Kind of the like the myth about there being a liberal media bias.
Via New York Times:
There is a reasonable way to confront the influx of Central American children at the southern border, and the White House is getting it mostly right.
It has asked Congress for $3.7 billion in emergency funds to pay for more immigration judges, for legal assistance to children and parents, and to help care for tens of thousands of children in shelters in Texas and elsewhere. [...]
Republicans are feeding the cycle, stoking panic about a border under assault, even to the point of demanding that Mr. Obama call out the National Guard. Nativist protesters are blocking buses of migrants in places like Murrieta, Calif. Homegrown militias are issuing calls to arms. Illegal border crossings, meanwhile, are still lower than they have been in years. The besieged border is a myth, and the arrival of a few thousand weary refugee children on buses does not make the myth true.
The byline says this masterpiece is by "THE EDITORIAL BOARD". Anyone think that these effete snobs went any farther South than Lower Manhattan to view the crisis in action?
"Congress should swiftly approve it, since it contains pretty much everything that lawmakers — even President Obama’s Republican critics — have been demanding."
What a crock. First and foremost the bill contains no provisions to seal the border in order to stop the flood of illegals. It also contains no provisions to deport the recent influx. The NYT piece does, however, contain the customary Liberal smear of those who oppose Obama and his Leftist policies: "Nativist protesters are blocking buses of migrants in places like Murrieta, Calif."

ZitatThe besieged border is a myth, and the arrival of a few thousand weary refugee children on buses does not make the myth true.
Then why is this necessary?

The NYT has once again taken point position in an attempt to provide credibility for the incredible!

Wow!!
A great and unanswered question, WHY is $3.7 billion needed if there is NO crisis?
Thx Rev
How many children have crossed the border? We really don't know because the government has put a cloak of secrecy on this entire invasion. Way more than "a few thousand" though. The only facts we know are filtered and fed to the press by the government powers that be. It's Pravda USA!
