When Obama et al. stop getting traction with Marxist–Leninist demagoguery regarding “income inequality,” it will be time to pivot to housing inequality.

As every moonbat knows, housing is a human right. Who better to secure this right than the federal government, which has done such a spectacular job of defending our right to force others to pay for our medical insurance under ObamaCare?

ObamaHousing will allow our benevolent rulers to address the scourge of housing inequality. Under socialism, equality is achieved by separating the cream — that is, the oligarchs in charge — and then forcing upon everyone else the lowest common denominator.

The tiny apartments fit nicely with Seattle imposing the world’s highest minimum wage increase. You can’t expect to live in a castle when your unborn grandchildren are paying your rent because there aren’t any entry-level jobs.

Once again echoes of the old Soviet Union. The Soviet "experts" determined how much space each individual required then built apartment buildings based on their calculations. The buildings usually had communal kitchens (why does anyone need their own kitchen?) and often communal bathroom facilities. Living in one of these hives was reportedly a true delight, including when they began to fall apart due to poor construction.

Government by the "experts", those who know best, such as we see far too often in this country.

IIRC their technocrats also exempted themselves from their own diktats.

But of course. They were the shepherds, the people were the sheep they herded and tended. Not really much different than the attitude of the elitists in this country.

I see it a bit differently. I like the tiny-house, no mortgage movement as long as the gubmint stays out. I don't particularly care about "footprints", but the idea of only buying what you can afford has some appeal. I like the idea of not working just to pay for the mini-mansion, and not spending all your off-work time doing housework. And, some of these little homes are beautiful with high end finishes.
