Wow! TK, is this true? Should these taxes be raised to this extent, will it hurt Brown as it did with Gray Davis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, or is CA so far gone it really doesn't matter?

A bogey man like cigarettes. Gas is a tax cow in CA like cigarettes are here in New England.

Yes that was a very popular and accurate moniker for our State, moreso in the 70's & 80's.

We developed this habit of electing more fiscally responsible Republican Governors every now and then, to offset the voracious spending habits of our elected D-party credit babies, I mean representatives.
