In the process, both Trump's name and the camera icon in the center of the star were damaged beyond recognition.

The man, who identified himself to Deadline as Jamie Otis, says he had planned to remove the star intact and auction it off on election day to raise money for the dozen women who've accused the Apprentice personality of sexual assault.

I heard a homeless woman now guards the star. I wonder if that is true...I'd like to think so.

I wish I could buy her lunch or thank her in some way.

The brainless vandal who destroyed the star has been arrested, which is kind of a no brainer given he did the deed it in front of the public and it was filmed. There is some good news on this front, however.

With damages of over $400, the felony vandalism charge could see Otis in jail for up to 3-years and paying out fines of over $10,000 if found guilty.

I hope the judge throws the book at him, though since this is CA, he might get a medal instead.
