Two supporters of Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign reportedly shared the claim that then-rival Barack Obama was not born in the United States and thus was not eligible to be president.

One was a volunteer in Iowa, who was fired, Clinton’s former campaign manager said Friday. The other was Clinton confidant Sidney Blumenthal, according to a former McClatchy Washington Bureau chief.

The issue arose Friday as Donald Trump finally acknowledged that Obama was born in the U.S. Trump, a leading champion of the debunked “birther” conspiracy theory for years, attempted to blame Clinton for starting it when she ran against Obama in 2008 for the Democratic presidential nomination.

In fact, there were several people publicly pushing the theory, which was repeated extensively on conservative news outlets. There were the two Clinton supporters, but there is no evidence that Clinton herself or her campaign spread the story.

Of course there is no evidence Clinton spread the story. The Clintons work like the Mafia where underlings do the dirty work and the capo can deny any knowledge or participation. But if the relationship between Blumenthal, or Sid Vicious, and Hilliary is seriously considered, she knew and approved.

Trump's assertion that the rumor started with the Clintons is, in fact, quite accurate.

The Propagandists and other usual subjects are just losing it over this "story."

Slashings and bombings across the country and still OCDing over Trump not saying "I'm sorry" to Obama, when the facts show the Clinton campaign was the first push the issue.

Twitter is really letting them have it. Every other post is either slamming them or Sick Hillary for her dull-witted "bombing" response.

I predict the 32% media approval figure will be taking a well-deserved nosedive in the next couple of weeks.

It's entirely reasonable to require that every candidate show proof of citizenship from the outset...I agree!
