ZitatA shocking editorial in the Charlotte Observer counseled young girls to get over the "discomfort" they feel at the sight of male genitalia when transgender facilities are allowed in North Carolina.
The newspaper assumes the law will eventually be repealed or declared illegal. While that may or may not happen any time soon, it is the justification for this position used by the Observer that reveals the true nature of this battle of the bathroom.
"Washington Times:
“This is what the Obama administration nudged the rest of the country toward Friday,” the editorial said. “Yes, the thought of male genitalia in girls’ locker rooms — and vice versa — might be distressing to some. But the battle for equality has always been in part about overcoming discomfort — with blacks sharing facilities, with gays sharing marriage — then realizing it was not nearly so awful as some people imagined.”
[snip]
"While admitting that exposure to male genitalia is a possible outcome of transgender bathroom laws, the editorial said the notion that such laws constitute a threat to the privacy and safety of women and children is a “political fiction” pushed by Republicans.
“Those safety issues are political fiction — non-transgender men wouldn’t have been allowed in women’s bathrooms under the Charlotte ordinance that HB 2 killed, and the 200 or so cities with similar ordinances have had no incidents involving bathroom predators,” the editorial said"
ZitatSo, biological men enter the bathroom used by biological women and this is not threat to the privacy of women? What spaceship brought this alien to earth?
As for the safety of women, liberals believe that attacks by men in women's rooms will be rare, so it's ok - except,of course, for the parents of a young girl who is molested on one of those "rare" occassions.
But "progress" demands we make those kinds of sacrifices, you ignorant hillbillies.
It would appear that the privacy and safety of women and 7 year old girls are of no consequence to the Charlotte Observer, whatever those females might think. it is also quite interesting that the Obama admin equates male genitalia with blacks and gays. I wonder how they feel about that. In addition, the issue is note merely the exposure of male genitalia to women and girls, but also pedophilia. While it may be true "no incidents involving bathroom predators" have thus far occurred, and I am not persuaded even that is true, even the airheads in the Obama admin and at the Observer should have enough sense to realize this misguided policy creates the conditions which make such assaults more likely. I wonder how the braniacs at the Observer would feel should one of the victims be their own daughter or granddaughter?
I tried to find the original editorial but was unsuccessful.
ZitatThe administration’s letter addresses that uneasiness head on, at least with regards to schools. The letter includes a 25-page attachment detailing “emerging practices” at U.S. districts that already are supporting transgender students. http://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/oe...ngpractices.pdf
As to worries about pedophila, don't worry the next step will be normalizing it - see no problem
Illegitimi non Carborundum
During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.
Amazing. Normalizing sexual harrassment, abuse and pedophilia. I remember back when the gay marriage issue first began its opponents frequently used the argument that this would lead to legalized pedophilia and other sexual crimes, the supporters poo-pooed that and called us all bigots and other names and that our concerns were ridiculous.
The ink is barely dry on the gay marriage SCOTUS decision and look where we are. WE WERE RIGHT!!!
These LGBT issues have never been about equality. Its always been about forcing their wishes, wants, and lifestyle upon the public and insuring that their perversions don't result in prosecution. Its always been about that from the get-go, now we can see the masks coming off as they are getting their way in the courts.
May 19, 2016 Charlotte Observer: Girls must overcome 'discomfort' at seeing male genitals in locker room By Rick Moran

When a man exposes himself on the street in front of a teenage girl, the police always offer the services of a psychologist to the young woman to help her deal with the trauma of seeing a male penis. Liberals will claim the context is different in a locker room or bathroom. That's nonsense. To a teenage girl, a penis is a penis and context is meaningless.
But to the Charlotte Observer and the Obama administration, teenage girls being exposed to the sight of male genitals is something to be "overcome." In this lunatic world, we place the burden of transgender progress on young girls, telling them to just get over it.
So I guess young girls are just supposed to 'get over it' when sexually harassed or molested also. This makes me so angry!
Years ago when I was 16, I was accosted by a man, who then proceeded to unzip and 'wave it around' making lewd comments the whole time. I managed to pull away from him, ran home at top speed, ran into my Dad who asked what was wrong. I told him, he went berzerk (as Dads will do) and immediately called the police. The police went into action and then went after the guy based on my description.
Today apparently the same police would tell me to just 'get over it' or.......better yet.......this man could simply follow me into the bathroom and do the same act and when confronted with it just claim he was just going to the bathroom because he 'felt like a woman' that day and would not have been prosecuted.
I just keep getting angrier and angrier and what is being done!!!!!!!!!!!!

FWIW, I've been going to the men's room all my life and plan to continue to do so.
But have I EVER seen male genitalia while visiting a men's room? NO!!! That's flat out endorsing inappropriate perversion!!!
The Democrats throwing girls to the wolves.
