Bitter Ted Cruz spoke with radio host Michael Berry on Thursday after dropping from the presidential race. Cruz won four primaries and several caucus states in his failed attempt at the Republican nomination. Cruz told Berry the Trump supporters will “bear responsibility going forward.” Obviously, Ted is not yet ready to endorse the Republican nominee.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Thursday that those who contributed to the rise of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will have to “bear that responsibility going forward.”
Cruz appeared Thursday evening on the Houston-based “Michael Berry Show” and was asked whether he thought he was treated fairly in the GOP primary, with the host mentioning Fox News specifically.
“Well listen, there’s time for recriminations and you know, everyone who was responsible for the rise of Donald Trump, they will bear that responsibility going forward,” Cruz responded.
“But there were more than a few players that played a disproportionate role in that rise,” he added. “I’m going to focus, instead of looking backwards, I’m going to focus on looking forwards.”
Just to continue in that humor vein a bit, I modified Ted's above statement to reflect what he's really thinking...
“But right now I’m going to stay focused on looking backwards. I’m not ready to focus on looking forward, not now and maybe never. You see, to do that would mean I'd have to concede and congratulating Donald Trump is something I'll never do. Working with him would also be tough and don't look for me to support him in the fight against Hillary. No, my father, my wife and I see the Hillary presidency as God's punishment for their foolish rejection of me. Let them have Donald Trump now, choices have consequences."
There I fixed it! TM
