I wish they'd followed up on the Pope's comment to see if he'd endorse a candidate. What he did here was to inject himself in a political arena which confuses his mission trip completely. The press no doubt egged him on but he should have been wiser than to get sucked in on American politics. TM

During a presser on the papal plane, Pope Francis skewered Donald Trump as being "not Christian" because of his promises to build a border wall.

"A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not of building bridges, is not Christian," the Pope said. "This is not the gospel. As far as what you said about whether I would advise to vote or not to vote, I am not going to get involved in that. I say only that this man is not Christian if he has said things like that."

Trump has already returned fire, saying the Pope would "wish" and "pray" he was president if the Vatican is attacked by ISIS. Trump also said the Pope "doesn't know me," and suggested he had been corrupted by Mexican government officials.

His creds as a spiritual leader are questionable. According to Pope Francis Moslems and Christians worship the same god.

I think the Pope needs to go back and read the Book of Nehemiah if he thinks you cannot be God's people and build a wall. Not only does the Vatican have those pesky walls, but God told Nehemiah to go and rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. He's putting Nehemiah, Christians, and God in a place he definitely shouldn't go.

But then again the RCC do not exactly hold true to the Word of God when you look at their catechism #841:

841 The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."330
