ZitatCanada withdrawing fighter jets from Iraq, Syria, Trudeau tells Obama
OTTAWA, Canada — Canada's prime minister-elect Justin Trudeau said Tuesday he told US President Barack Obama that Canadian fighter jets would withdraw from fighting the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria.
But he gave no timeline.
"About an hour ago I spoke with President Obama," Trudeau told a press conference.
While Canada remains "a strong member of the coalition against ISIL," Trudeau said he made clear to the US leader "the commitments I have made around ending the combat mission."
Zitat the world learned nothing from the election of Obama.
That's because the fallout hasn't reached a critical mass of people yet. When it does, it will be too late to do anything about it (using peaceful means, anyway).
It's amazing how much the political world of today parallels the political world (pre WWII) of the 1930s. And the people fell for it then.
The people still fall for it now. (Indeed, a strong case can be made that people are actually dumber now than they were then.
