ZitatPlanet Earth is alive. Deep beneath its skin, its life blood — rivers of molten iron — pulse around its core. And this mobile iron is what generates the magnetic field that causes auroras — and keeps us alive.
But, according to the science journal Nature, something strange is going on deep down below.
It’s causing the magnetic North Pole to ‘skitter’ away from Canada, towards Siberia.
“The magnetic pole is moving so quickly that it has forced the world’s geomagnetism experts into a rare move,” Nature reports.

Every year, geophysicists from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the British Geological Survey do a check on how the Earth’s magnetic field is varying.
This is necessary as the liquid iron churning in the Earth’s core does not move in a consistent manner.
“In 2016, for instance, part of the magnetic field temporarily accelerated deep under northern South America and the eastern Pacific Ocean,” Nature reports.
I am not a big fan of doom and gloom stories which provide us with something else to be terrified even if we can't do a thing about. For this type of story, though, I make an exception as I have long believed the earth's poles are going to shift with devastating consequences worldwide (Any other Velikovsky "fans" present?). Should it happen, and I believe it's coming, much of Biblical end time prophecy will be fulfilled (the Day of the Lord).
How can the Democrats say they support border security when they also advocate for sanctuary cities?
It's my understanding that normally magnetic north wobbles about and that the north and south pole shift have shifted in the past. There seems to be agreement that the last magnetic pole shift occurred ~80,000 years ago. There seems to be major disagreement as to how often these shifts occur, can we predict them, and how the plant will be affected
Wiki seems very biased against him because his does not follow current orthodoxy. Then again look what happened to Galileo. I find following very intriguing: "The catastrophes that occurred within the memory of humankind are recorded in the myths, legends and written history of all ancient cultures and civilisations" I need to look up more about his ideas.
IMHO we are living in pivotal times in which broadly speaking war is being waged between civilizations, between statism and individualism, between good and evil.

Velikovsky was a remarkable fellow, but his theories about the earth's geological history were uniformly condemned by the PTB. It got so bad that he could find no one willing to publish his works, and the one company which would, MacMillan, had to back out of the deal as they were threatened with loss of publishing rights to academic materials, a steady source of income.
I always felt the black listing of Velikovsky was akin to companies being attacked for publishing the works of Erich von Däniken whose works are entertaining, if ultimately unprovable. Velikovsky's major sin, however, was that he taught "casatrophism" as the major cause of change, instead of the "uniformism" which prevailed among the cognoscenti and which underlay all evolutionary theory.
Nonetheless, his writings are fun to read, if a bit dull at times, and he offers reasons why Joshua was able to make the sun stand still at the Valley of Aijalon (Joshua 10) and how Venus sprang forth from the brow of Jupiter, among other bizarre happenings. He may be full of hot air but it's an enjoyable read.
