Ebola not the deadliest virus to threaten the US: Islamism is
Written by Allen West on September 17, 2014
As President Obama deploys the U.S. Military to combat a virus in West Africa, there’s far more deadly virus that has hit America, which Obama has not acknowledged.
As reported by the Washington Times, “The U.S. government is tracking and gathering intelligence on as many as 300 Americans who are fighting side by side with the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria and are poised to become a major threat to the homeland, according to senior U.S. officials. Officials say concern is widespread in Washington that radicalized foreign fighters could return to the homeland and commit terrorist attacks with skills acquired overseas, according to officials who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the information. Those concerns were heightened by the disclosure Tuesday that a California man was killed fighting alongside militants (Islamic terrorists) with the group, also known as ISIS.”
So we’re going to deploy to fight against the Ebola virus, but we have no strategy or plan to contend with the virus of homegrown Islamic jihadism here in America. And it’s not just men who are being recruited, we are also learning that women are as well– recently a young Colorado woman was indicted.
Here’s a story about a man recently arrested in upstate New York for providing aid to ISIS.

I suppose since we are “outsourcing” our national security to rebels in Syria and a dismantled Iraqi army, we could — or should — ask the Mexicans to secure our border? What are we going to change about visa procedures? What about countries that are also allowing fighters to slip into Syria to support ISIS, how are we going to reduce the possibility of their flying to America? Shall we revoke the citizenship of any American who departs our nation to fight against ISIS? Just as we are deploying to combat a virus in West Africa, how do we develop an antidote against the virus of Islamism in America?
The Times reports an official said, “We know that there are several hundred American passport holders running around with ISIS in Syria or Iraq,” offering a figure well above widespread reports of about 100 such fighters. “It’s hard to tell whether or not they’re in Syria or moved to Iraq.” The State Department did not respond to a request for the number of Americans traveling in Iraq and Syria.
Attorney General Eric Holder is offering up new community-based programs to combat this problem. I would hope we don’t have CAIR — or any other Muslim Brotherhood front group — as a clearing house for approval of these actions. These communities have been aware of such problems for nearly ten years — will this just be more talk?
