For the know-it-all, pseudo intellectual political analysts (including George Will recently) who insist on describing our form of government as a "Democracy".
Our Founders based our government on Rome. Rome based theirs on Sparta. Neither Rome nor the Founders had any use for "democracy" [see: Athens]
