President Obama referred to the Dominican Republic as “the Dominican Republican” Thursday during his speech about creating more opportunities for lower-income students to attend college.
Obama made the gaffe while introducing a student from the Latin American country.
“There he is,” Obama said. “Good-looking young guy right here. Could not speak a word of English when he moved to the United States from the DOminican Republican at the age of 9.”
The president can’t seem to get politics off his brain.
Brain? I'm not sure all the grey cells are firing. Possibly as a result of prior substance abuse. Or, he's just too disinterested to bother to get it right.
