Trump is creating a completely unique type of cabinet - picking those who are not politicians but have demonstrated expertise in their field. He is bypassing the tradition of picking those from his party whose recommended by lobyists

I was impressed with Bobby Kennedy's interview in which he stated Trump admitted he was surrounded by donors and lobbyists who gave him recommendations for bad people. Because of the amount of work that needs to be done in a short period of time the transition team was begun in August with private funding. The official presidential transition begins once the presidential elect is declared. That would have been in November. Trump didn't wait and secured private funding.

The nominees for the cabinet have been busy. Here's an interesting example:

After a meeting, Eric Adams of NYC, sanctuary city, announced today that he will be working the incoming border czar Tom Homan to deport criminal aliens. Adams also mentioned the hundreds of thousands of missing children
If this pans out for only the criminal element it would be huge.

I have had mixed impressions about Musk but the fact he bought Twitter and opened it up went a long way to help Trump win. Musk put his life, and fortune on the line.
I have seen interviews where Musk's voice cracked talking about how the elite school Musk sent his con to transed him and 'tricked' Musk into sign for puberty blocker with the threat of suicide.
Musk also got communications up and running in Appalachia via starlink long vefore FEMA got to take a coffee break.
I haven't gotten to look into stories about Tesla replacing Americans with H-1B's.
I guess I would him under trust but verify.

He seems to be very good at ferreting our waste and work arounds. He has some good observation about the deterioration of American culture but also displays the arrogance often found in Hindu Brahman caste (no one likes to talk about the Indian caste system) regarding the ingenuity of average working class Americans.
