#1 Pope Francis To Followers: “Koran And Holy Bible Are The Same” by Cincinnatus 22.02.2017 15:33

Zitat
On Monday the Bishop Of Rome addressed Catholic followers regarding the dire importance of exhibiting religious tolerance. During his hour-long speech, a smiling Pope Francis was quoted telling the Vatican’s guests that the Koran, and the spiritual teachings contained therein, are just as valid as the Holy Bible.

“Jesus Christ, Jehovah, Allah. These are all names employed to describe an entity that is distinctly the same across the world. For centuries, blood has been needlessly shed because of the desire to segregate our faiths. This, however, should be the very concept which unites us as people, as nations, and as a world bound by faith. Together, we can bring about an unprecedented age of peace, all we need to achieve such a state is respect each others beliefs, for we are all children of God regardless of the name we choose to address him by. We can accomplish miraculous things in the world by merging our faiths, and the time for such a movement is now. No longer shall we slaughter our neighbors over differences in reference to their God.”

Is this guy the head of the Catholic Church or its Chief Imam? Frankie might spend an hour or two consulting history and talking with some theologians within the Vatican.

“Jesus Christ, Jehovah, Allah. These are all names employed to describe an entity that is distinctly the same across the world."

That is manifestly false!

If it were true, that they are all the same, then the expression by followers would be more similar than they are.

As it is, within Islam we cannot find any tolerance for those who differ from the Islamic tradition. Take one term, liberty. How does Islam handle liberty?

def'n liberty: the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life, behavior, or political views.

This Pope is a subversive influence on the Christian Church.

Well Cincy, we keep watch on each other's back. I think this one doesn't pass the sniff test. FICTION I am relieved to hear that it is false.

TM, I am pleased to hear this is fake news, but one thing still troubles me. It's believable because this guy is the Pope.
