Andrea Tantaros, a former Fox News host, charged in a lawsuit filed Monday that top executives at the network, including the man who replaced Roger Ailes, punished her for complaining about sexual harassment by Mr. Ailes.

The suit by Ms. Tantaros, filed in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan, is the latest round in a contentious volley that began in late winter, when Fox claimed she had breached her employment contract by writing a book without receiving network approval.

“Fox News masquerades as a defender of traditional family values, but behind the scenes, it operates like a sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult, steeped in intimidation, indecency and misogyny,” Ms. Tantaros’s suit says.

Interestingly, in her book earlier this year [last year?], Tantaros, aside from the usual, "I am woman, hear me roar" crap, NEVER mentioned FOX or Ailes - except in laudatory terms.

I found a link to her complaint somewhere. It's over 30 pages and a VERY dry read.

I was looking for the hot stuff and found very little. It seems Ailes is a boor who often makes inappropriate cracks. Probably time for that old goat to be put out to pasture. The Scott Brown accusation I found lame and am not buying it, but I wouldn't put anything past Bill O'Reilly. I followed the fluff up with his prior lawsuit and he doesn't strike me as a "stand-up guy."

Her demotion from The Five to Outnumbered sounds dicey and there might be a there there. But the majority of her pleading was about perceived contract law breaches and ruined book deals, which her lawyer laid out in excruciating detail...zzzzz.

It appears sexual harassment claims often coincide with contract renewals. Funny how that works.

I would say let's see how the court sorts it out but I doubt this will go to trial. It will settle and so will Gretchen Carlson's suit.

In the end, it's always the $$$.

Going on hearsay, so to speak, it appears Tantaros accused both Scott Brown and Dean Cain of being part of the problem. First off neither of these fellows has an official capacity at Fox so I can't see how they could be part of any problem. Secondly, I suspect both hit on her which she may have found annoying but that's hardly the kind of harassment she's alleging.

Still for some reason I'm finding it difficult to criticize her. I guess I'm just an old softie.

For the longest time Tantaros was out of the public eye and silent. Now she's popping up with some regularity. Her latest:

There is something odd in all this. Andrea disappears in May and reemerges 4 months later, plus she seems quite angry. I wonder what was going on during her hiatus.

I think Fox discharged her abruptly, quite surprisingly. I always liked her role and contributions. Her dismissal certainly baffled me.

And then my recollection is, the allegations of sexual harassment began after the dismissal.

I'm sure Hillary's "plenty of smoke but no fire" angle is what Fox wants us to believe. It sure seems like Fox did a number on her career. Why didn't they take down Megyn Kelly? That single move would improve the network's lineup immensely!
