I just got this email from The Eagle Forum. Anyone know anything about it ?

Conspiracy to Push Out Phyllis Schlafly
April 9, 2016
Dear Friend,

On Thursday, we received a tip from a longtime Eagle Forum member in South Carolina that the Con Con people are pursuing a scheme to push Phyllis Schlafly out of Eagle Forum.

Things are happening that are disturbing. In just two days, on this coming Monday afternoon, six directors of Eagle Forum are holding a rogue meeting in violation of the Bylaws unless they are stopped. The rogue group members have a hidden agenda, and most refused to return phone calls personally made to them by Phyllis to ask what their concerns are.

They are being guided by a big, liberal law firm that they refuse to identify (but the press has identified). They also refuse to say who is funding the high paid liberal lawyers.

Here are the six directors in this Gang of 6:

Eunie Smith - allowed Alabama to be one of the first states to pass Con Con, in May 2015

Carolyn McLarty - owes Reince Priebus of the RNC for her special committee position on the RNC from Oklahoma.

Anne Cori - did nothing to stop Con Con as it sailed to passage in Missouri last year, until national Eagle Forum intervened.

Rosina Kovar - does not return calls to her by Phyllis and has mentioned to someone else that her ringleader told her not to talk to anyone.

Shirley Curry - does not return calls to her by Phyllis.

Cathie Adams - disparaged and insulted Phyllis in a publicly quoted interview in Dallas, phoned Phyllis to apologize but has not publicly retracted it.

Last night we found out that Cathie Adams gave a new on-the-record press interview about this and is trying to push her agenda. Thanks to Cathie we will now see this terrible betrayal of Phyllis play out in the media!

We need your help to stop this hostile takeover.

Please lobby these six individuals and tell them what you think of their attempt to hijack Eagle Forum for their own purposes. Please tell them to respect Phyllis and to cease and desist. They can be reached at:

Eunie Smith - alaeagle@charter.net or (205) 879-7096
Carolyn McLarty - okrncw@live.com or (580) 989-3258
Anne Cori - AnneCori@swbell.net or (314) 369-6144
Rosina Kovar - rosinakovar@gmail.com or (303) 322-0407
Shirley Curry - sac38485@aol.com or (931) 722-9699
Cathie Adams - cathieadams@me.com or (972) 523-8551

I cannot thank you enough for any effort you can take to help Phyllis and Eagle Forum. Phyllis has always stood up to bullies wherever they are found: the Soviets, the feminists, liberals of every stripe, and those who would undermine Phyllis' successful leadership of Eagle Forum.

All the best.

More of that division and animosity this election has produced even among those who previously have been compatriots in the political battles.

Zitat
Back on Feb 8th, Cathie Adams was asked Phyllis Schlafly for her endorsement for Vice Chair of the Republican Party in Texas. Phyllis graciously gave Adams her endorsement.

Then in March Cathie Adams attacked Phyllis saying she was “manipulated” into endorsing Donald Trump.

Adams would not return Phyllis’s calls this week.
Back in everyone in her organization – or her family – agreed with Schlafly’s decision.

Today Cathie Adams was let go by Eagle Forum for disloyalty to the founder and her attempt at a rogue board meeting to take over the Eagle Forum Board.

Illinois Review reported:

Today, the Missouri Eagle Forum Board met and voted to replace Anne Cori as member of that board. This was the final step in the process because of Ann’s disloyalty to our founder of Eagle Forum, Phyllis Schlafly,” an update sent out by the group’s national director Ed Martin said Thursday.

A few months ago, the statement said, “Anne refused a request by Phyllis to step aside as President of Missouri Eagle Forum.”

Mrs. Cori chose instead to endorse U.S. Senator Ted Cruz.

In addition, Cathie Adams, who has travelled worldwide over the years representing Eagle Forum at United Nations meetings, was also publicly reprimanded by Schlafly. Adams is in the midst of a statewide campaign to leadership in Texas’ GOP.

“Phyllis has rescinded her personal endorsement of Cathie Adams in her race for Vice Chair of the Republican Party of Texas,” the statement said. “Cathie has been disloyal and just this week has refused to return Phyllis’ phone call.”

Adams also endorsed Cruz for president."

Phyllis Schlafly has been a historic leader in the conservative movement in America. She has been fighting the liberal agenda for over 50 years. It is a shame that her closest supporters have now turned on her for supporting Donald Trump for president.
What a shame.

Cori and Adams are two of the Forum members cited in the story posted by Algernonpj.

Normally I would find all of this at least odd. But not in this election season. Phyllis founded the Eagle Forum and is a Conservative icon. So far as I know her endorsement of Trump was personal and did not officially represent the views of the Forum. Still even that produced a mini-mutiny within her organization given that she is so closely associated with it..

What is the Conservative movement going to look like after this election is over?

After this is over there will be NO Conservative movement as we know it. It's done. You're going to have a ConservE faction, our own Pharisees, if you wuill, who will claim to make doctrine, and orscribe us heretics, and you'll have the ConsevP[opulist/ realist] faction, which will comprise most of the rest of us. Levin, Eill, Kristol, Perino, Guttfeld, et al, will join the GOPe as their sock puppets. the rest of us will have to start from scratch.

Cincy,

Thanks for the information.

I suspected there was a Trump vs Cruz issue in there.

I have two items I am about to post together about Colorado and the dirty tactics there. Trump has hired an 'experienced' delegate wrangler to deal with the shenanigans.

Trump's candidacy has certainly shone the light on all the faux conservative and the eGOP elites infesting the right wing of the uniparty.

At this point there is no question I vote for Trump or write in Trump - that's it. In NJ our primary isn't until June. There are I believe at least two actions in progress contesting the validity of Cruz being listed on the primary ballot.

In NJ our primary isn't until June

Ours is in May which means it is usually a meaningless exercise, but not this time supposedly since convention delegates (county, state) were selected by caucuses in March. Yeah, I know, but don't ask me why it is done that way.

Another update and the situation with the Eagle Forum is even murkier than before:

Zitat
SECOND UPDATE: A member of the Eagle Forum board says the board has removed Ed Martin as president, "effective immediately."

UPDATE: Schlafly sent this news release at about 4:40 p.m.:

"At 2pm today, 6 directors of Eagle Forum met in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting. I objected to the meeting and at 2:11pm, I was muted from the call. The meeting was invalid under the Bylaws but the attendees purported to pass several motions to wrest control of the organization from me. They are attempting to seize access to our bank accounts, to terminate employees, and to install members of their own Gang of 6 to control the bank accounts and all of Eagle Forum.

". . . This kind of conduct will not stand and I will fight for Eagle Forum and I ask all men and women of good will to join me in this fight."

ST. LOUIS • Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly is facing "a hostile takeover" of her St. Louis-based Eagle Forum advocacy group, by a half-dozen board members — including Schlafly's own daughter — who oppose her support for Donald Trump's presidential bid, she and others are warning supporters.

Here's a long write up from Wnd. Near the end one of the rebel board members, admits to being an avid Cruz supporter and implies Schlafly's decision was due to detachment from Eagle Forum's membership and advanced age.

Phyllis Schlafly survives 'coup' over Trump endorsement
6 board members met to 'wrest control' of Eagle Forum
2016.04.11
Jerome Corsi

NEW YORK – Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly survived what she and her supporters described as a coup attempt by board members of the organization she founded, Eagle Forum, who oppose her support of GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

Her son, John Schlafly, treasurer of Eagle Forum and a board member, told WND she will not resign and is resolved to “fight it out” to keep control of the organization.

A statement issued by Phyllis Schlafly said that at 2 p.m. CDT on Monday, six directors of Eagle Forum met “in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting.”

Schlafly said she objected to the meeting and at 2:11 p.m. was muted from the call.

She said the meeting “was invalid under the Bylaws but the attendees purported to pass several motions to wrest control of the organization from me.”

The six board members, she said “are attempting to seize access to Eagle Forum bank accounts, to terminate employees, and to install members of their own Gang of 6 to control the bank accounts and all of Eagle Forum.”

“This kind of conduct will not stand, and I will fight for Eagle Forum, and I ask all men and women of good will to join me in this fight,” Schlafly said.

The six board members were identified as Eunie Smith, Anne Cori, Cathie Adams, Rosina Kovar, Shirley Curry and Carolyn McLarty.

Cori is one of Phyllis Schlafly’s daughters.

In an interview earlier today with WND, Schlafly said she believed Cori and her husband, leaders of Eagle Forum of Missouri, were leading “the coup.”

...................................................................

‘Best chance to win’

John Schlafly explained earlier Monday to WND that among the six board members calling the meeting are several “who feel Donald Trump is unacceptable as the GOP presidential candidate in 2016.”

Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Trump March 11.

Her son explained that she believed Trump had the best chance to win the 1,237 delegates needed to avoid an open convention, which she fears “could be a catastrophe.”

“Based on that situation, Phyllis thought it was time to get the best deal with Donald Trump for her endorsement, and she succeeded in getting Trump to agree to nominate conservative judges to the Supreme Court,” he said.

“She also got Trump to defend the GOP platform that Phyllis has worked so hard to develop for all these years,” he noted,

.................................................

He [John Schlafly]explained to WND that Monday’s vote is regarding the 501(c)4, educationally oriented non-profit organization of Eagle Forum, not the 501(c)3 organization that allows it to support political issue campaigns.

“The two organizations have different boards,” John explained, “and those opposing Phyllis only have a majority in the 501(c)4.”

But the problem is that the 501(c)4 controls the name Eagle Forum, meaning the future of the organization will be uncertain if the 501(c)4 ousts Phyllis Schlafly as its chairperson and CEO.

If Cruz admitted he has NO CHANCE of getting to 1237 and just dropped out this whole brouhaha would go away.

It's his blind ambition that is preventing him from letting go. It's stupid because he's young enough to wait for a future opportunity.

He wants it too much! It's his ambition fueled by that screwy Pentecostal belief that God issued a prophecy that told him he was ordained him to be president.

We need that kind of individual in the White House??? We've always felt something slimy with this guy.

UPDATE

More disturbing information. This presidential campaign keeps getting uglier and uglier.

Phyllis Schlafly in court to retain control of Eagle Forum
91-year-old 'iron lady' challenged by 6 board members
2016.04.28
by Jerome Corsi

In a three-and-a-half hour hearing, punctuated by heavy rain, a hailstorm and temporary loss of electricity, conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly fought to keep control of the organization she founded, Eagle Forum.

Judge John B. Barberis Jr. in the Circuit Court of the Third Judicial Circuit, in Madison County, Illinois, is expected to announce a decision as early as Thursday regarding a petition for a temporary restraining order made by six Eagle Forum board members who oppose Schlafly’s leadership, including her daughter.

The hearing took a political tone as attorneys from the Runnymede Law Group in St. Louis, Missouri, representing Schlafly, argued the six dissenting board members were attempting a coup in response to Schlafly’s endorsement of Donald Trump for the Republican presidential nomination.

The board members, Schlafly’s lawyers charged, were attempting to divert the financial resources, membership contact list and national reputation of Eagle Forum to support Sen. Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign.

In an explosive development buried within the legal briefs filed in the case, Schlafly’s attorneys charged the Cruz campaign had obtained unauthorized control of Eagle Forum membership and leaders lists to persuade members to vote for Cruz.
