Weekly Standard Editor Bill Kristol said on Sunday that the Republican Party had already found a two-word solution New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s problems: Jeb Bush.

During a panel discussion on ABC’s This Week, Kristol, who was recently hired as a contributor to the network, shrugged off new evidence that Christie may have not told the truth about knowing the George Washington Bridge had been closed.

“Having talked to various Republican establishment types — I’m pro-Tea Party — but anyway, the establishment types over the last 24 hours when you ask them about the Christie situation, there’s a two-word answer: Jeb Bush,” the neoconservative pundit opined. “And I’m really struck by how much Christie was kind of the establishment donor-class favorite, I think, for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016. They are beginning to, maybe foolishly, they are beginning to write them off.”

“We will see a big drumbeat of Jeb should get into the race,” he predicted.

Republican strategist, Ana Navarro, who is a close friend of the former Florida governor, said that she hoped he would run.
“He would bring so much to the debate,” she insisted. “He would be a game changer when it comes to Hispanic votes.”
Democratic strategist Donna Brazile agreed that a centrist Republican had a chance now that Christie’s hopes were fading, but she didn’t think that Bush could make it through the primaries.

“I don’t think that Jeb Bush can win the Republican nomination,” Brazile remarked. “Because of the Tea Party.”

“You hope that Jeb Bush doesn’t win the Republican nomination because you know that he’s going to be tough to beat!” Navarro exclaimed...........

LOL. Like hell. Hispanics are inherently Commie Pinkos who love the welfare state. They will vote over 60% for Hitlary over some WASP loser without even a second thought. This thinking is exactly why the GOP will be dead in less then 10 years.

What's happened is that the political elite are playing on the fact that once immigrants came to the US to become part of its traditional culture and meritocracy. Hence certain groups are labeled 'good immigrants'. There was no safety net so these immigrants either made it here or returned home.

The political elite conveniently ignore the fact that the Hispanic, Chinese, Indian etc immigrants of the last few decades have included more and more people who come here because our big central government gives out better freebies than the one they left behind. These are people who have grown up under and embraced various forms of collectivism. Even those here in violation of the law have no problem demanding their rights. Those who work have no problem doing so at wages that require the tax payer to subsidize them. They have a world view that precludes the concept of individual independence and reaping the consequences of your actions.

The R's like the cheap labor and the D's like the votes. Neither branch of the statist party want immigration that will benefit the middle class of the US.Both branches want theirs now and could care less about 10 years down the road.
